PostSubject: My project 2000 Camaro   My project 2000 Camaro Icon_minitimeMon Mar 31, 2008 10:26 pm

After building these cars you many years they all got to slow for me.800hp on the street feels sluggish. So I bought a 2000 Camaro with 4500 miles on it a few years back. The plan with the car is to run high 7's, low 8's and still drive to cruise night's. I sent it to DMC Racing to take care of all the chassis. Before I knew it we went with a custom 25.5 cage,Mini tubs, custom coil over rear suspension and put some extra bracing in to make sure the car doesn't twist. Here are some pics of the car--- http://www.dmcracing.com/id59.html

The car is pretty much done but I have no time to work on it so it's still there.(ggod storage) Hopefully soon I'll take it home and start painting the million bars ect. Future plans are a 400+ci motor being fed by a pretty big Turbo going through a powerglide tranny to the beefed up 9" rear. Looks like a project for next winter Cool

looks nuts man, i really like the color.

hopefully the site and our cruise meets will revive your love and make you find some time.

if you ever have it over the shop or are working on it at home and need some extra muscle let me know, i have a huge desire to learn more and would love to see how alot of things are done, especially in the FI aspect.

Some saturdays I let people wrench at my house.Depends on the job. I do alot of FI work which always needs custom work done with a welder.I'm not afraid of cutting the radiator support out and moving it so we can fit a Turbo there.
